Farm & Food Friday October 9, 2015

Happy Fall Friday!

October 10
Maker Day
Cobblestone Farmers Market – 9am to Noon

This Saturday, come meet these local makers in the metal arts, fiber arts, wood reclamation and hand carving. Bring a bit of extra dough and that holiday shopping list that is already on your mind to see what interesting and unique items are made right here in the Piedmont.
We’ve asked them not only to bring the beautiful finished products, but also some tools and stories of their craft to share with you and {we hope} inspire you to dust off the tools in your cabinets. Recalling the Emerson quote, “Every artist was first an amateur”, let’s try to make something with our hands. It is truly one of our greatest gifts of being human.
October 24
Pumpk’ed Fest 2015
The Corner Farmer’s Market – 9am to Noon
IT’S BACK!!!
For the second year The Corner Market gets pumpk’d (one week before Halloween) – pumpkin painting, face painting, pumpkin recipes, hayrides, live music.
October 31
Pumpkin Celebration
Greensboro Farmers Curb Market – 8am to 11:30

Pumpkin pancakes, great music, kids activities (both free and fee)!

November 7
Chili Cook Off Day
The Corner Farmer’s Market – 9am to Noon

And if you have an upcoming event, let us know (just comment below).

If you know of a place consolidating food or farm info, please let me know! Until then, I’ll provide periodic updates of the happenings in the Piedmont Triad.
